Wowzer. That was a doozy of a three months.
I entered this week having marked the last thing off the schedule and found myself relatively worthless and full of peace. It was a good day. The family comes in from Iowa this week, friends have vacated the Fort to be with their families, friends will be in the Fort to say hello, and I have no idea what is around the corner. I’m willing to bet it’ll be something, though.
When it comes to “Christmas Music”…I’d rather not. My wife, however, loves her some Mannheim Steamroller. Thomson now loves Raffi’s Christmas album. I have been called a scrooge over this subject. Allow me to get my house slippers and night cap.
But but but…last week I found something. Another album from Bifrost Arts, this one release just in time for the end of a season of life and to enjoy a season at rest with family. It is a beautiful album I will listen to year round, though this week it seems to strike a particular chord in my heart harp. Salvation Is Created is the name of the release. The song “Messiah” by Robert Heiskel stopped me dead in my thoughts. It is below. Have a listen.
Merry Christmas.
